Jan Turbill (Inducted 2008 )

Jan Turbill is a Senior Fellow in the Faculty of Education, University of Wollongong, Australia. She is presently working in the Facultu of Commerce as the Teaching and Learning Consultant, working with Commerce academics to improve their teaching. Her research ranges from early literacy development to the professional learning of teachers. She is the author of many books and articles and for the past eight years was President of the Australian Literacy Educators’ Association (ALEA). In 2008 Jan was inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame. She lives in a small seaside village, 200km south of Sydney.
