Roselmina (Lee) Indrisano (Inducted 1990)
Biographical Statement
At the time of her passing Roselmina (Lee) Indrisano was Professor Emerita with the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University. She was the Recipient, Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Boston University Teacher-Scholar Award. She had served as the Co-director of the Poetry Institute for Educators. Her service within the field of literacy was highlighted through serving as President of the International Reading Association and President of the Reading Hall of Fame. She also served as the Editor of the Journal of Education and as a member of the Jeanne S. Chall Endowment Advisory Committee for the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Lee was granted both the Ed.D. and the Ed.M. by Boston University, and the bachelor’s degree was from Emmanuel College.
