Educate to liberate ourselves and others, particularly the students we serve. Education is an opportunity to empower students with different backgrounds. Educate to liberate means including the voices of those we serve in the conversation and challenging dominant paradigms. It is about validating our students’ experiences and perspectives. Students should investigate the world and critically think about it in way that informs how they navigate the world and impact change in the world.
The 2021 Conference will explore ways to empower students and teachers to take initiative, solve problems, and formulate ideas while developing skills in language, learning, and leadership.
